Issue/Introduction

Running the SMPE Service Order process, or SMPE Receive Order it ends with the messages:

smpeCC:07 smpeRoutine:GIMJVGET smpeMsgLen:0000000037 smpeMsg:StatCode:403 RsnPhrase:Access Denied.:

AORDER.ORDER.P12345.P68.SMPHOLD.pax.Z DETECTED AN ERROR: 403 - Access Denied.

 

Environment

SMPE Receive Order
SMPE Service Order
CCS 15.0
JAVA 21

Cause

Broadcom introduced a higher cypher signature for the pax files to get a better secured environment and there is an issues with JAVA 21.

Resolution

Use JAVA 17 instead and rerun the job.
You can ue the same order when using the SMPE Service Order. 

Additional Information

As of 1/28/2026, Broadcom has a support case open with IBM to investigate this issue.  Investigation by IBM has been in progress since late 2025 and continues.
