File monitor / Filewatcher get a logon error : 1385 Login failure

Issue/Introduction

The ": 1385 - Logon failure"  error is windows generated error.   The following message is seen in logs.

Failed acquiring linked token for the elevation.  1312(A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated.

 

 

 

Environment

Workload automation agent 12.0 or above

Cause

The filemonitor is likely monitoring files on a network share, and agent needs to login to access them.  Over time, these login sessions need to be renewed (as per Windows / AD), so there is constant login / logout by agent.  

Resolution

If this is a constant issue, then you should engage network and Windows admin, check AD / LDAP as well.
