Issue/Introduction

  • The NSX Manager upgrade was initiated from the SDDC Manager.
  • The SDDC Manager's 'Update History ' shows the upgraded version of NSX Manager as expected.

  • Executing the command below in the SDDC Manager's Database also verifies the upgraded version.

           # select id, version, cluster_fqdn from nsxt where cluster_fqdn='<FQDN of NSX Management Cluster>';

                             id                  |      version       |            cluster_fqdn

           --------------------------------------+--------------------+------------------------------------

            xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx | 4.1.2.6.0-24723849 |          xxxxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxx

  • However, the NSX Manager's Upgrade History still displays the old version, with no indication that an upgrade operation was initiated.

  • NSX Manager's upgrade-cordinator.log also doesn't show any traces of Upgrade initiated or Failures.
