Issue/Introduction

Automation update (9.0->9.0.1) failing.

Error in LCM:

Error Code: LCMVMSP10010

Failed to take backup of the application platform.

"failed to connect to SSH server: ssh: handshake failed: ssh: unable to authenticate, attempted methods [none password], no supported methods remain"

 

Environment

VCF Automation 9

Cause

If the SFTP password for backups configured in Fleet Management has been changed recently, the old password may still be cached in the VMSP cluster/appliance.

Resolution

Follow the steps in KB 416350 to check (and if necessary, update) the SFTP password on the VMSP cluster.

Then re-run the failed Automation update task in Fleet management -> Lifecycle.
