Enable Authentication when configuring the mail server

Issue/Introduction

When setting up the mail server in portal the 'enable authentication' section isn't working

 

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management any version

Cause

Incorrect password

Resolution

The authentication part is optional

(Optional) Enable authentication by completing the following fields:

Enable Authentication

Specifies whether NetOps Portal uses authentication when sending reports by email.

 

Options:

• Selected:

   

  NetOps Portal

  uses authentication when sending reports by email.
• Cleared:

   

  NetOps Portal

  does not use authentication when sending reports by email.

.... so toggle off the option if you don't have a password and you should be fine
