Issue/Introduction

Unabillity to create vertices from CAPC metrics whose metadata contains special characters (for example, .*).

The Topology Creator does not support using a regex on an attributeName in a configuration rule to create a vertex from metrics. By default, these characters are disallowed to prevent excessive vertex generation in DX O2.

Resolution

Fix has been delivered as part of 25.1 HF3 and will be added to 26.1 release. A new configuration option is introduced to provide flexibility for users. By adding the "allowRegexOnAttributeName": true option to the configuration payload, users can override the default behavior and can permit the use of special characters in the attribute names.
