  • On SDDC manager, in /var/log/vmware/vcf/commonsvc/vcf-commonsvc.log, there is "PERMISSION_NOT_FOUND" error as below:




Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

The user permission that is used to integrated VCF adapter is not configured properly

Resolution

Assign correct permission to the user that is used to integrate VCF adapter instance:

  1. Follow the document below to configure correct permission for this account on vCenter Server:

    Privileges Required for Configuring a vCenter Adapter Instance

  2. Using an administrator account, login to SDDC Manager and assign the ADMIN role to the affected account:

    Configuring VMware Cloud Foundation Cloud Account in VMware Aria Operations

    "The credentials must be associated with the admin role in VMware Cloud Foundation"

  3. If the affected account is a domain account, navigate to vSphere Client → Administration → Users and Groups → Groups → SDDCAdmins, then add the affected account to "SDDCAdmins" group.
