Issue/Introduction

Many systems no longer have X11(XWindows) available. This means the SMConsole GUI is not available. This is problematic as the OneView settings are not part of the AdminUI.

Policy Server R12.X

Resolution

You can edit the <siteminder_home>/config/conapi.conf file in order to configure these settings.

- To enable the Allow Incoming Remote Connections checkbox, set this value to true:

nete.conapi.service.monagn.allowRemote=true

 

- To use the Connect to Remote Monitor settings, set these values:

nete.conapi.service.monagn.host=server1.example.com
nete.conapi.service.monagn.port=44449
 
Note- when you change the host from localhost to your server or IP, the checkbox will also be checked at the same time.
Example after editing:
 
After making your changes, restart the Policy Server.
