Issue/Introduction
- When attempting to configure log ingestion, the following error occurs when trusting the certificate and the configuration cannot be completed:
Certificate [...] is already trusted
Environment
VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x
Cause
The certificate has been imported into VMware Cloud Director, but the address specified for the VMware Aria Operations for Logs endpoint is not consistent with the Subject or the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) attributes on the certificate. Thus, the certificate cannot be used to establish trust for the endpoint.
Resolution
Configure log ingestion with an address that is consistent with the Subject or the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) attributes on the certificate. If an appropriate address cannot be provided, issue and configure a certificate for VMware Aria Operations for Logs that complies with the desired address.
