Issue/Introduction

The new Reporting tool within the Clarity 16.3.0 (and higher) UX does not support the Large String Rich Text attribute when using the Report Designer tool. Although the Rich Text attribute is added to the data provider, it does not appear as an option in the Attribute Group Properties when designing a report. The custom Rich Text field functions correctly in the Table widget and Data Provider but is unavailable in the Attribute Group.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a Large String Rich Text attribute and enable it via API.
  2. Edit a Report using the Report Designer tool.
  3. Add an Attribute Group Widget to the report.
  4. In the Attribute Group Properties flyout, click on '+ Add attributes'.
  5. Expand the 'Status Report' section to view available attributes.
  6. Check for the Large String Rich Text attribute created in Step 1.

Expected Results:
The Large String Rich Text attribute should appear in the list of available attributes in the Attribute Group (just as it does in Reporting > Report Designer > Data Providers).

Actual Results:
The Large String Rich Text attribute does not appear in the Attribute Group.

Environment

Clarity 16.3.0 +

Resolution

Rich Text attributes are not currently supported within the Attribute Group widget. This is a design limitation rather than a defect, though the Product team has noted this feature for potential inclusion in future updates. As a workaround, to display your custom rich text on the Report page, we recommend using the Table Widget.
