Unable to remove vCenter old licenses from VMware Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

Licenses were removed from vCenter but are still visible in Aria Operations after 24 hours.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The vCenter adapters in Aria Operations were configured using an internal IP while the vCenter FQDN resolved to an external IP.

The external IP was not reachable from Aria Operations.

Thus, the vCenter could not be reached via FQDN from Aria Operations.

Resolution

Ensure that Aria Operations is able to reach the configured vCenter via IP and FQDN.

Workaround:

• Add the IP and Hostname to the Aria Operations node's /etc/hosts file.
• The IP and hostname must be added after the # vROps_EDIT_END
