Production library SYS1.PPDSM.* getting s338 abend

Issue/Introduction

Running a regression test and received a S338 Reason Code 2390001 abend when using a //JOBLIB DD pointing  to SYS1.SYSPPDSM.HTF1.PDSMAN.PDSMLINK.

 

Environment

PDSMAN V7.7

Cause

The correct CA PDSMAN address space is not active. 

Resolution

On the system where the S338 occurs there needs to be a CA PDSMAN started task that is running with the //JOBLIB DD specified in the $DEMO job.

    //JOBLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SYS1.SYSPPDSM.PDSMAN.PDSMLINK 

Since the $DEMO job did not fail with 'data set not found', the //JOBLIB DD data set MUST in the catalog, however, there is no CA PDSMAN started task using that data set

(from LINKLIST or a JOBLIB/STEPLB).
