Issue/Introduction

Security Analytics uses the Dell ME4 and ME5 storage arrays.  There is a management port assigned to each controller.  This management port (a standard ethernet port) has an IP address assigned as well as a MAC address.

Resolution

To find the MAC address (as well as other network information) from the Value Manager web interface, first log in to the Value Manager (Powervault Manager) via a web browser.  Once logged in, navigate to the System icon in the left column.  

On the larger 5U arrays, click on the "Rear" tab and you should see a screen like this:

If you click on the black management port on either of the controllers in the top row, you will not only see the IP address and subnet mask, but you will also see the MAC address.  You must click right on the port for the system to show you the "Network Information" popup.  If you see "Controller Information" or "Port Information", keep clicking until the "Network Information" popup appears as seen in the below screenshot.

The smaller 2U storage arrays also have a management controller and the network information can also be viewed by following the same procedure as above.  The screenshot will look like the following:
