ServiceNow plugin not importing variables or version details

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• ServiceNow was recently upgraded to Zurich version.
• ServiceNow plugin was upgraded to version 9.0.1
• Variables are not importing from Aria Automation causing the ServiceNow form to be empry.

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1

ServiceNow - Zurich version

Cause

ServiceNow has introduced a new Scripting Governance Tool in Zurich release which requires "snc_required_script_writer_permission" role for admin user.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to add the nesesary permissions for admin user:

1. Login to ServiceNow with system administrator
2. Search "sys_user_role.LIST" in filter navigation
3. Search for the record with name "admin"
4. Go to the related list "Contains roles"
5. Edit to add "snc_required_script_writer_permission" role
6. Save
