Report of Remote Control sessions shows limited amount of results

Issue/Introduction

In order to create a Report in DSM Reporter for Remote Control usage, the following can be done:

• Select Remote Control Sessions:

• Add the desired fields:

The result shows some information, but only a limited amount.

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 and above

Cause

By default, Remote Control sessions are stored in the database by a limited amount of time (hours) and only a set amount of sessions.

Resolution

These configurations can be changed (increased) by modifying the Configuration Policy, specifically under:

DSM > Remote Control > Manager

The settings that can be updated are:

• Age of sessions to purge (default value is 24 hours)
• Maximum number of sessions (default is 20.000 sessions)
