Use WSSamServiceCmd with SSL on SOI 4.2

Issue/Introduction

You need to use WSSamServiceCmd with SSL / Https in SOI 4.2, however, CU5 GA does not support https. 

 

Environment

SOI 4.2 CU5

Cause

https not supported by default in SOI 4.2 CU5 and earlier 

Resolution

Attached to this KB is a fix for WSSamServiceCmd HTTPS support.

NOTES:

• This fix already available on SOI 4.3
• This fix for SOI 4.2 requires CU5
  
  

INSTALL NOTES: 

1. Download the attached fix: use jar and run the WSSamServiceCmd command to Export/Import with https environment.
2. Take a back up jar present in the below path and replace it with new which is attached in the KB
   
   CA\SOI\tomcat\webapps\sam\WEB-INF\lib\common.webservice-4.2.0.jar
   
   
3. Close the command prompt and open a new command prompt and run the command as in the example below: 
   
   WSSamServiceCmd -hhttps://<example_server>-127:7493 -usamuser -p"<password>" -aExport -s* -fc:/allServicesExport1.xml
   
4. After applying the jar , WSSamServiceCmd will work with https environment also.
