Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Skyline health alert on a newly configured vSAN cluster using Quickstart method: "vDS compliance check for hyperconverged cluster configuration"
  
  
• The error blow indicates that the cluster's Hyperconverged configuration is non-compliant with the defined desired state and has failed an Online health check.
  

Environment

• VMware vSAN 8.x

Cause

• There is a mismatch between the host settings (like networking or storage) and the cluster-wide policy.

• Manually reconfiguring vMotion adapters outside of the QuickStart workflow triggers vSAN Skyline Health alerts due to configuration drift. To maintain hyperconverged integrity, all hosts must be in Maintenance Mode for integration, and subsequent modifications must be performed exclusively through the QuickStart interface to prevent validation warnings.

Resolution

• Workaround:

1. Place all the hosts in maintenance mode using "no data migration" option and move them out of the vCenter using "remove from inventory" option.

2. Delete the vSAN cluster and create a new cluster.
