Issue/Introduction
When trying to remove the network from OVDC, encountering below error:
[ xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx ] Entity <Network_Name> cannot be deleted, because it is in use.
Environment
VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x
Cause
This issue is occurring because the specified network is still within the scope of the Organization VDCs (OVDCs).
Resolution
We need to ensure that the network scope is reduced and that the specific OVDC is removed from it.
Please follow the steps below to decrease the scope:
- From the top navigation bar, go to Networking.
- Select the radio button next to the data center group network for which you want to reduce the scope, then click Decrease Scope.
- In the list of OVDCs associated with the group network, choose the OVDC you want to limit the network to, and click OK.
Once the scope has been adjusted, you will be able to delete the network from the OVDC.
