Issue/Introduction

Getmain failures followed by an S60D in SYSVUSER.  

Also caused an MQ region to abend.

Cause

A significant amount of control blocks in SUBPOOL 230 Key 5 that contain eye catcher DEBXDEBX and also point to another set of blocks with an eye catcher of SWAM.

The DEBXDEBX appears to be DEB 2nd extension, something created by IBM most likely during the SVC 19 (OPEN) that was issued by SYSVUSER for the PROFILE library when it encountered the S913 security errors.

Resolution

IBM are focussing on OA66094

The apar has been open since Feb 2024

After an IEC150I 913-38 OPEN module IFG0198N branches around
freeing up the DEBX. This is due to the JFCMABND bit being set.
JFCMABND is the DELAYED ABEND bit which is always set for a
913-38.
 

Local fix
For long running jobs recycle the job to release the DEBX's if
it is causing storage shortage or fragmentation.
