Issue/Introduction

Devices used as Datastore are showing as "Not Consumed" under storage devices

Environment

vSphere 7.x, 8.x

Cause

The VMFS partition on the disk is missing.

Device mapped as Datastore [ Working Device]

 

Device showing as "Not Consumed" [ Non- Working Device]

 

Resolution
