Unable to discover specific VM via Cohesity Backup Solution

Issue/Introduction

When scanning a vCenter environment with the Cohesity backup solution, some VMs may not appear in the list of protected or unprotected VMs. 
- No errors are present for the Cohesity scan
- There are no errors present in the vCenter
- The missing VM is a clone or has been cloned

Environment

vSphere 8.0.X

Cause

Cohesity will only discover virtual machines with unique BIOS UUIDs. 
In some circumstances, cloned VMs can have duplicate BIOS UUIDs. 

Resolution

The BIOS UUID of a VM can be updated using the steps in the following KB:
Changing or keeping a UUID for a moved virtual machine
