Issue/Introduction

The SymantecDLPEnforceConnector is going down on the DLP Detection Server and you're seeing out of memory in the SymantecDLPEnforceConnector0.log

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Cause

The java heap maxmemory is being exceeded

Current value is set to 1200 and the minimum should be 2000 (minimum). reference: Hardware Requirements for Servers

Resolution

Perform the following for each Detection server in the Enforce Console:

• System > Servers and Detectors > Overview > Select the Detection Server > Advanced Settings > UDS.EnforceConnector.MaxMemory
  
  • Change this from 1200 to 2000 (minimum) 
  • Recycle the services for the server

Note: This will also need to be performed on any new Detection server added to the environment.
