VM's on ESXi hosts lose network connectivity

Issue/Introduction

VM's on one particular ESXi host and connected to a port group using a specific VLAN lose network connectivity.

Cause

This can potentially be caused by a VLAN tag not being allowed on the physical interface that is connected to the vmnic on the ESXi host.
