Issue/Introduction

• An "Internal Server Error" is displayed when accessing Aria Operations UI page after upgrading from 8.17.2 to 8.18.4
• The upgrade process completes with no error reported.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.4
Aria Operations 8.18.5

Cause

A property is missing in below configuration file after upgrade preventing Apache from routing requests to Aria Operations backend.

/usr/lib/vmware-vcopssuite/utilities/conf/workers.properties

• Standard configuration (expected value):
  • worker.list=vcopsworker, vcopscasa, vcopssuiteapi, vcopsarc, vcfoperationsworker
• Actual configuration in the problematic environment:
  • worker.list=vcopsworker, vcopscasa, vcopssuiteapi, vcopsarc

Resolution

1. Update the current value of the worker.list field in the configuration file to the expected value mentioned above (add the vcfoperationsworker configuration item);
2. Execute the following command to restart the relevant services to ensure the configuration changes take effect.
3. service httpd restart
service vmware-vcops-web restart
