There is a growing need of "pg_rrule" extension to be supported in GPDB.

Introduction of "pg_rrule" Extension
"pg_rrule" extension is a third party Postgresql extension, which provides functionality for working with recurrence rules, based on the iCalendar RFC 2445 standard.

Resolution

The new feature of supporting "pg_rrule" extension is targeted for GPDB 7.7.0.
