Issue/Introduction

In the SES cloud console (ICDm), when adding a Corporate Wireless Network to a Network Integrity policy, the ROUTER MAC ADDRESS (BSSID) field is blank, empty, or missing the value entered after clicking the Add button.

Environment

Cause

You must hit the Enter key on your keyboard after typing in a valid MAC address.

Resolution

When adding a router MAC address in a Network Integrity policy, you must hit the Enter key before clicking Add button.  Hitting Enter will change the plain text to an entry highlighted in blue, similar to what the Router Vendor looks like after selecting it from the dropdown.  Example screenshots below the steps:

Steps to add a Corporate Wireless Network

  1. Login to SES cloud https://securitycloud.symantec.com/
  2. Click on Policies (left).
  3. Locate the desired Network Integrity policy, click it to edit it.
  4. Click the Network and Resource Protection tab.
  5. Scroll down to Corporate Wireless Network Definition, click the Add button
  6. Fill in the following fields
  7. Wireless Network (SSID): type in your SSID
  8. Router Vendor: Start typing the vendor of your Router, then pick it from the drop down list
  9. Router MAC Address (BSSID): Type in the MAC address, then hit Enter.  You must hit enter after typing it in.
  10. Click Add button.
  11. Click Save on the policy.
