Transport Node Profiles are not used in the NSX managed cluster or the host is a Standalone Host (not part of a cluster but configured in vCenter). If Transport Node Profiles are being used, refer to Replacing a Transport Zone in a prepared NSX cluster instead
Cause
The ESXi host has already been configured for NSX but has not been added to the Transport Zone associated with the VLAN-backed Segment.
Resolution
Identify the Target Transport Zone.
Navigate to System > Fabric > Transport Zones
Find the specific TZ where the VLAN network is configured *Note: If you Filter the results you can select VLANs in the Filter type to search by VLAN ID
Update the Host Configuration
Navigate to System > Fabric > Hosts
Find the host under the Clusters or Standalone tab
Click the 3 vertical dots (Actions Menu) to the left of the host and select Manage Transport Zones
Click into the box where the current TZ is listed. Available TZs will pop up in a list in the window.
Click on the VLAN TZ from the list to add it to the host's configured Transport Zones and Click Save
Test Connectivity: Test to make sure the host is now accessible over the VLAN by connecting a test VM to the VLAN-backed Segment and verifying network reachability.
