Issue/Introduction

• Bring up process fails for VCF 5.2.2, at ESXi host vSAN HCL compatibility validation and ESXi host vSAN ESA disk eligibility validation

• Disks are compatible for vSAN ESA. 
  
  
• On verifying the vSAN HCL DB update version in vCenter, it is at the latest version
  
  
• vSAN HCL DB on SDDC Manager is up to date as per  https://partnerweb.vmware.com/service/vsan/all.json

Cause

Compatibility validation in the HCL guide - https://compatibilityguide.broadcom.com/ shows an incorrect value for VID/DID/SVID while comparing to the PCI devices output in ESXi using Determining Network/Storage firmware and driver version in ESXi

Resolution

Reach out to the hardware vendor. Request them initiate a vSAN certification with Broadcom for the device.
