Issue/Introduction

This article provides the fallback plan during an NSX upgrade incase, after the upgrade there are issues.

Environment

VMware NSX

Resolution

 Edges:

• Deploy new edge nodes
• Replace the affected edge nodes with the newly deployed ones.

NSX managers:

• Delete the existing the manager.
• Deploy a new appliance with the same IP and FQDN used previously.
• Restore it from backup.

ESXi hosts:

• Uninstall NSX on the ESXi hosts and re-install.
