HCX Connector – Services Not Starting / Unable to Access UI and site pair is down

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to access HCX UI the GUI fails to load.

When viewing the Site Pair in the destination HCX UI the Site Pair will show disconnected.

Cause

When SSH'd into the HCX Manager you will see the service is "inactive"

root@HCX-CONNECTOR:~# systemctl status
● State: starting

root@HCX-CONNECTOR:~# systemctl status web-engine
○ web-engine.service - WebEngine
     Active: inactive (dead) (Result: timeout)

Resolution

This could be caused by other dependent services not running as outlined in this KB.

Consecutive HCX Manager reboots may result in the app-engine and Kafka messaging services not coming online
