VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction

After installing VCF Operations for Networks, flow data is not observed in the GUI

Yet, the flow service in the Collector node seems to be running.

You have vCenter and NSX created as data sources.

NOTE:  VCF Operations for Networks was formerly named Aria Operations for Networks (AON), and prior to that was named vRealize Network Insight (vRNI).

Environment

VCF Operations for Networks

Cause

After following Deployment using vSphere Web Client to do the first part of the installation, IPFIX must be enabled for the data sources, to start the flow data to the VCF Operations for Networks collectors

Resolution

After following Deployment using vSphere Web Client to do the first part of the installation,  follow steps in the documentation at Enabling IPFIX Configuration to start the flow data to the VCF Operations for Networks Collector nodes.

If, after a period of 2 hours, you still do not see flow data appearing in the GUI, please open a support case for the VCF Operations for Networks team using the instructions at Creating and managing Broadcom support request (SR) cases
