Issue/Introduction

• Windows NIC is yellow exclamation mark
• Unable to Ping the VM
• VM is unable to access internet
• The NDIS dmp is generated and found from Windows Application events

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi

Cause

NDIS dmp is generated as watchdog from guest os timed out

Resolution

Contact Microsoft for further investigation along with NDIS dmp to determine the impact for the NIC
