Unable to reconnect to vCenter server in VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to reconnect to a vCenter Server in VMware Cloud Director there is a successful connection, but data fails to populate. There is no error returned.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1

Cause

The cause can only be found when re-entering credentials to the vCenter server. A failure to connect to a NSX manager is returned in a stack trace in the UI. There is an old NSX for vSphere entry in the vCenter managed object browser and in the VMware Cloud Director database.

Resolution

Ensure full clean-up of NSX for vSphere following Uninstalling NSX-V After Migration.

If it persists we need to clean-up the VMware Cloud Director database. Please open a support request referencing this article.
