Have UMA enabled for EKS, however it doesn’t provide us the required AWS attribute that will determine if it’s a worker or mgmt node. Note that, the same attributes are available in the APMIA AWS extension (under EC2). Now the question is how can we use this attribute to separate out metric grouping for worker vs mgmt node.
The alerts in question are single APMIA alerts for OS resource utilization. The attributes we are looking to add to these alerts are from a separate agent running the AWS extension.
We would like to use several tags that are being pulled from the AWS extension including the management nodes and the cluster support group, and add them to the existing webhook notification channel that our alerts use to send them to our event management system. Our hope is to use them to route the incidents to the cluster owners without having to manually map everything.
