Service mesh can not be deleted

Issue/Introduction

When attempt to delete service mesh, following error message is received: 

"Service Mesh deletion failed. Interconnect Service Workflow InterconnectRemoveAppliance failed. Error: Remove appliance Failed. The operation is not allowed in the current state"

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

• The failure to remove one of the service mesh appliance caused the issue. 
• The failure may happen when HCX not able to reach to appliance or the host running the appliance. 
• The IX VM has been removed from vSphere.

 

 

Resolution

To address the issue, make sure: 

1. The service mesh appliances are powered ON and reachable from VC server and HCX server.
2. The hosts running the appliances are healthy and reachable from VC server and HCX server.
