Issue/Introduction

Updating SDDC Manager failed with error:

Compatibility checks fails for SDDC Manager at Setup_Common_Appliance_Platform . Due to error VvsCompatibilityController controller failed with error message : Cannot invoke "java.util.Set.stream()" because "productVersions" is null

Environment

VMware SDDC Manager 5.x

Cause

The cause is still being investigated by VMware engineering.

Resolution

Retry updating SDDC Manager and check if the error does not come again.
