Issue/Introduction

Some users have access to the actions in the Select and: pulldown in QuickView. Other users that should have access, do not have access.

Resolution

Procedure: Updating Access Policies for Global Groups

Phase 1: Policy Configuration

1. Login: Access the EEM GUI and log into the WCC0004 application as EiamAdmin.

2. Navigate: Select the Manage Access Policies tab.

3. Select Policy: Locate and click on the following nested policies:

   • ConfigurationControl

   • ConfigurationControlEventDefault

4. Identify Group:

   • In the Identities Search screen, click Search Identities.

   • Set Type to Global Group.

   • In the Value field, enter the specific global group requiring access and click Search.

5. Assign & Save: * Select the returned group and click the Right Blue Arrow to move it to Selected Identities.

   • Click Save.

Phase 2: Permission Verification

Before testing with a live user, verify the policy logic:

• Tool: Click the Permission Check link.

• Parameters:

  • Resource Class: ConfigurationControl

  • Action: Access

  • Resource: */Event

  • Identity: [Enter a username from the affected group]

• Result: Click Run Permission Check. (Should return: Allowed)

Phase 3: Final Validation

1. Log out of WCC as the admin.

2. Log in as an affected user.

3. Navigate to QuickView and perform a job search.

4. Success Criteria: Confirm all job actions are now visible and functional.
