Issue/Introduction

  • Remediation of a cluster based image fails with the error - 

    'vSphere ESX Agent Manager' service, running on 'cluster 'cluster_name'', reported issue: Agency xxxx-xxxx-xxxx required solutions [VEE-veecdp] are not properly configured.


  • vCenter server logs the below errors in //var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server/vmware-vum-server.log:

Environment

vCenter server 8.x

Cause

VEE-veecdp is a Veeam configuration installed on the cluster for Continuous Data Protection of VMs. Lifecycle manager is unable to remediate the cluster due to Veeam CDP configuration issues. 

Resolution

Please engage VEEAM support to fix any underlying issue on the Veeam CDP configuration.

NOTE: In case you are not using Veeam CDP on the clusters, remove it and re-try the configuration: Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for VMware vSphere
