Issue/Introduction

  • NSX precheck reports the following:
    • Check for sufficient free space on root partition of all hosts
    • This check will result in warning if free space in root partition on the node is less than 10%.
  • ESXi Host shows no space issues and ample free space:
    # df -h

    vfat            ########       ########    #######   8% /vmfs/volumes/BOOTBANK1
    vfat            ########       ########    #######   8% /vmfs/volumes/BOOTBANK2

Environment

6.x
7.x

Cause

Host has changes pending that are preventing space from being adequately calculated, this is common with hosts with a high uptime

Resolution
