NSX Edge TEP tunnels are down after entering/exiting maintenance mode

Issue/Introduction

• NSX Edge TEP tunnels are down after entering and exiting NSX maintenance mode
• Migrating the Edge VM to another host does not resolve the issue
• Issue persists after rebooting the Edge VM
• BFD tunnels showing as DOWN between Edge TEPs
• From the tunnel's VRF, get neighbor shows the tunnel status state is "incomp" instead of "reach"

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

The ESX host where the Edge VM resides has missing VLAN configuration on the Top of Rack (TOR) switch.

Resolution

 Configure the TOR switch ports where the network adapters on ESX host is connected with the appropriate VLANs.
