Issue/Introduction

When attempting to use Configuration Drift in VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0, the vCenter Server instance does not appear in the selection drop-down menu. This prevents users from initiating drift analysis against the vCenter target.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0.x

Cause

This issue may occur when the Aria Operations cluster temporarily loses sync or state association with vCenter data collectors, causing the drift configuration interface to not properly populate available vCenter instances.

Resolution

The recommended solution to resolve this issue is to put the cluster offline and then back online via the Aria Operations UI.
  1. Take the cluster offline.
  2. Wait for the status to update.
  3. Bring the cluster back online.
