When I try to launch Workbench or Eclipse with the Eclipse plugin installed, I get an error like this:
An error has occurred. See the log file C:\Users\<userid>\.cascm\workspace\metadata\.log.
In the referenced log file I see:
Caused by: org.ecllipse.core.internal.resources.ResourceException: Incompatible file format. Workspace was saved with an incompatible file format.
Harvest Software Change Manager v12.x and higher
Something has been corrupted in one of the files within the C:\Users\<userid>\.cascm folder.
The quickest solution is to close Workbench and Eclipse, then delete the C:\Users\<userid>\.cascm folder and reopen Workbench. It will create a new copy of that folder and should quickly resolve the problem. Be aware that this solution will cause the loss of any broker connections and any workspace that has been set up from within Workbench. These will need to be re-established after reopening Workbench.
If the problem is persistent (happens frequently), please make note of any actions or activities during the previous session in Workbench and contact support.
