Change the name of Endevor PARMLIB datasets to remove version

Issue/Introduction

The customer would like to remove the version from their Endevor PARMLIB data file currently used. How can they rename and remove the version without issue.

 iprfx.iqual.<version>.PARMLIB

Resolution

 

1. Contact Broadcom's Endevor Support for a proactive case.

2. Identify all references for the iprfx.iqual.<version>.PARMLIB dataset.

3. Critical: Backup current version. Use the Endevor Unload, Reload, and Validate utilities, if applicable.

4. Critical: All users will need to be logged off Endevor to proceed with the dataset renaming.

5. Rename using standard renaming action for your site.

6. Update the names in C1DEFLTS if applicable, assemble and relink.

7. Update all direct references.
