Issue/Introduction
When attempting to view or manage VMs within a Network Extension from the HCX Connector end, the Network Extension wizard does not display the VMs.
While VMs are visible from the HCX Cloud side, the Connector reports an error "Remote Endpoint invalid," preventing any operations such as enabling or disabling Mobility Optimized Networking (MON) for those VMs.
Environment
VMware HCX
Cause
When the HCX Connector attempts to load Network Extension details, it tries to fetch resources (like destination containers/networks) from the HCX Cloud/Peer system.
This workflow involves a real-time login operation between the HCX Connector and HCX Cloud managers based on the existing site pairing.
If this login operation fails between the site-paired managers, it results in the "Remote Endpoint invalid" error and the inability to list VMs.
Resolution
Re-authenticate the site pairing between the HCX Connector and HCX Cloud managers.
After successful re-authentication, the Network Extension wizard on the Connector end is expected to list the VMs.
Impact: No impact is expected.
Additional Information
This issue specifically impacts the ability to manage or modify Network Extension properties for individual VMs from the HCX Connector side, including critical features like Mobility Optimized Networking (MON).
