Issue/Introduction

BGP Endpoints getting removed and created back during full discovery

Environment

Smarts - 10.1.x

Cause

Due to certain MIB data missing at device end while doing a discovery, the endpoint is getting removed and created back. 

Resolution

As a workaround modified version of  ic-bgp-peer.asl is attached, follow the below steps to apply the same: 

1. Place the attached script under <SMARTS_BASEDIR>/NPM/smarts/local/rules/bgp/
2. Restart the BGP domain
3. Perform rediscovery of the device. So that the deletion of the endpoint will not happen and henceforth the event associated with the BGPSession will also not get cleared and re-notified.

Additional Information

The fix is incorporated in Smarts release 24.3.13, So please upgrade the Smarts version accordingly or to the latest release of Smarts.
