VMware vCenter Server

Issue/Introduction

1. Right clicking a virtual machine -> [Edit Settings...] -> [Advanced Parameters] tab

2. Using filter

3. After deleting filter string, multiple values are changed.
(For example, the value of "svga.present" is changed from "TRUE" to "test01.nvram")

Environment

vCenter Server 8.0, 9.0

Cause

After the number of rows displayed in the table changes due to the filter, the attributes and values no longer correspond correctly.

Resolution

Broadcom engineering team is working on the fix.
To edit advanced settings, use the browser's in-page search function (Ctrl + F) instead of the filter.

Additional Information

This is a UI issue where the attributes and values are misaligned; as long as you do not press the check button, there is no impact on the virtual machine's settings.
