CA Ehealth Trap Exploder (TrapX) does not process v2 traps when the data contains 64 bit varbinds (Counter64).

Issue/Introduction

When TrapExploder (TrapX) receives SNMPv2 traps that have 64bit varbinds, the traps are not processed and they are dropped.

Cause

Trap Exploder is a 32 bit application and does not support 64 bit varbinds.

Resolution

Reconfigure the devices sending the traps to utilize data type Counter or ASN1_INTEGER.
