Issue/Introduction

Symptoms: 

Attempting to assemble the Sample C1DEFLTS table using SMPLDEFT and getting the following assembly error:

                                    201          C1DEFLTS TYPE=END       

                                    203+         ORG   DFT#CTLI          

** ASMA080E Statement is unresolvable                                    

** ASMA435I Record 1304 in NDVR.V180.CSIQOPTN(C1DEFLTS) on volume:

 

Environment:  

CA Endevor SCM V18.0

 

Cause:

Global Type Sequencing is required in V18.  The SMPLDEFT C1DEFLTS table is not delivered with a member specified in the TYPESEQMBR keyword resulting in the MNOTE -

** ASMA254I *** MNOTE ***             5+     12,PARMLIB AND TYPESEQMBR PARAMETERS MUST BE CODED

and assembly error.

 

Resolution : 

1. Create the Type Sequence member in the PARMLIB (see the TEC articles below)  and specify the member name in the TYPESEQMBR keyword -

TYPESEQMBR=mbrname,     TYPE SEQUENCE MEMBER NAME      X

 

    2. Reassemble the SMPLDEFT C1DEFLTS table.
