Unable to converge legacy appliances on VLSR 9.0.4 - "Failed to export service: 'hms'. Reason: 'Legacy replications present."

VMware Live Recovery

Issue/Introduction

When trying to converge the legacy appliances (VRMS or SRM) with a freshly deployed VMware Live Recovery appliance, the following error is thrown:

Environment

VMware Live Recovery 9.0.4

Cause

The VMware Live Recovery appliance will not be able to converge any legacy appliance that still have active or stale legacy replications

Resolution

In order to successfully converge a legacy VRMS appliance, there can not be any legacy VM replications (stale or active) residing on the VRMS appliance. 

The legacy VM replications will either need to be fully removed or converted into an enhanced replication.

If the VRMS appliance has multiple site pairings, ensure that all pairings do not contain any stale or active legacy VM replication.
