Issue/Introduction

Instructions on how to upgrade Clarity with release overrides file and complete the install successfully. 

The release-overrides files are provided to fix install and upgrade issues, and the file has to be provided prior to starting the upgrade process.

Environment

All Supported Clarity Releases

Resolution

1. Download the release-overrides file from Support portal or Support case if provided on a ticket by Broadcom Support
2. Move the file to the Clarity server, unzip into a separate folder outside Clarity directory as <release-override-path>
   • Example (c:\releaseoverrides)
3. Start the upgrade by running install command
4. There will be a prompt to enter the path for release-overrides the folder, provide the downloaded release-overrides.zip file path
5. Continue with the upgrade process.
